It started with grant review sections being cancelled. Then, there was a communications freeze. Next, HHS websites like the CDC and FDA were stripped of datasets vital to advancing health equity. Other government websites hosting important data are being scrubbed. Fortunately, this move was anticipated by many people. So, even though taxpayer-funded, publicly available data has been stripped from these sites, it remains available. This post will be updated as I learn about more repositories for the information. I have no doubt that the Administration is petty and willing to intimidate these public health data saviors; however, the more the data is downloaded, the more holes are punctured in their draconian wall. I will be downloading my own copies of these datasets, too. I saw an excellent battle cry on BlueSky. Fuck you, make me.
